OKLAHOMA D-DAY 2008, JUNE 9-14

D-Day Banner

The German 6th Fallschirmjager is the "tip of the spear" for the German War Machine. The "Parachute Hunters" have been recruiting the best players and scenario teams all year for Oklahoma D-Day 2008. With only 225 slots available, the 6th FJR "Green Devils" roster is almost at maximum capacity. The event is held in June of each year and is the largest scenario paintball event in the world.

Mission: Stop the Allied Airborne from reaching their objectives and act as the Quick Reaction Force (QRF) for the German side.

Tactics: Ambushes, raids, direct action missions and patrolling. Although the 6th is based on a historical WWII German unit, the Green Devils run more like a modern day US Army Ranger Regiment.

Organization: 20 Different Teams making up 4 Battalions with a Heavy Weapons Platoon operating 'Double Troubles'. The unit has limited space for walk-ons and small scenario teams. In 2007, Wolf Guard, Band of Brothers, BOHICA, and Identity Crisis were some of the teams that made up the unit's backbone. Rest assured any new recruits will be slinging paint next to their buddies as well as experienced woodsballers, not a bunch of noobs.

Iron Annie

To join the 6th, a player must complete the Paratrooper Readiness Assessment Course given the Friday before the main game. During the week leading up to the main game, the 6th will provide unit training that includes ambush techniques, patrolling, tank support, and other immediate action drills specifically designed for Woodsball. All members will take the field with confidence and leave the game with a victory as well as enhanced knowledge of advanced paintball skills that will improve their everyday play.

In its two years of existence, the 6th FJR has developed a reputation as being an aggressive, solid unit that can stand toe to toe with units twice their numbers and give a good accounting of itself.

Do something different next year at Oklahoma D-Day: Be a German Paratrooper in the 6th Fallschirmjager - "Green Devils!"

Communism

You can register on-line for the event through the D-Day Adventure Park Site.

WAYNE DOLLACK'S DOGS OF WAR, JUNE 7-8, CPX SPORTS

In the early 1960's, after the Bay of Pigs fiasco and just prior to the Vietnam War, an uprising was taking place in Africa. In Katanga, the Russian KGB and Cuban advisors formed a terrorist army named Simba (Swahili for Lion) in an attempt to overthrow the existing government and put a "puppet" in place, thereby entrenching communism as the political backbone.

As the U.N. had declared this situation "hands off", the general public was kept blissfully unaware of these events. Backed by the C.I.A., "Mad" Mike Hoar raised a mercenary army called 5 Commando made up of former British Commandos, Foreign Legionairres, and American Rangers that would become known as the “Wild Geese”. Their job was to disrupt the "puppet" government, and rescue Moise Tshombe from certain death.

Dogs of War Poster

Do you have the (paint)balls, to venture back in time with Wayne Dollack and take on the "Simba" Army in Barundi and Rwanda in this nerve-tingling,
adrenaline pumping reality adventure?

As an added bonus, Armageddon and Bedlam will be in play for this entire Event.

HELLIONS: RED STORM RISING, MAY 17, CPX SPORTS

On May 17th, 2008, the Hellions are set to produce for the first time their very own scenario at CPX Sports. You will definitely want to mark this one on your calendars. It is already promising to be an monumental event pitting two paintball legends against each other: Dewayne Convirs, the owner of D-Day Adventure Park, has signed on as the Commander of all NATO forces, and Bill Bailey, owner of Bailey's Battlefield and Promoter of WWII Tour of Duty, will be the Russian General. Details of the event are not being released at this time, but it is guaranteed to be a "Can't Miss" scenario at Chicago's biggest paintball field.

RED STORM RISING EVENT STORY LINE:

The year is 2011 and gas is $13.50 a gallon. Much of the oil fields in the Middle East have run dry. The Caspian Sea is one of the last remaining sources for oil in the world, but it is land locked with Russia, Iran and handful of other small former Russian Republics. Relations with Russia have deteriorated dramatically ever since it formed an alliance with Iran and assisted them in developing their nuclear capabilities in return for more oil rights in the Caspian Sea. Instability is at all time high in the Middle East, and the unrest has spread to the Republics in the North Caucasus, specifically Dagestan and Chechnya. Most of these former Soviet States have made attempts to join NATO, however they have been suppressed by the Russian Military through force and assassinations of key political leaders.

From the Russian point of view, NATO's eastward expansion and attempted influence over the North Caucasus since the end of the Cold War has been in clear breach of a prior agreement and a continued attempt to surround and isolate Russia. However, from NATO's vantage point, these small countries are of great strategic importance because of the BTC (Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan) pipeline. The BTC brings oil and gas from fields in the Caspian Sea to ports in the Black Sea and then to most of Europe.

The Country of Georgia, being a newly admitted member of NATO, has now become a launching ground for Clandestine Low Intensity Operations into the former Soviet States. In Chechnya, US Special Forces have had tremendous success, and the Chechen Resistance Fighters have declared war on the Russian-controlled puppet government.

Both NATO and Russia have moved large forces into the area. The risk of a full-blown war is eminent.....

Additional details will be released on the Red Storm Rising Official Event Forum.

LIVING LEGENDS OF PAINTBALL, APRIL 5-6, CPX SPORTS

CPX SPORTS 2-DAY SCENARIO HONORS "LIVING LEGENDS" OF PAINTBALL

CPX Sports and Smart Parts have teamed up with Scenario Paintball creator Wayne Dollack and long-time friend Kerry "Viper" Rosenberry to produce a 24-hr Scenario Game honoring the "Living Legends" of Paintball on April 5-6, 2008 at CPX Sports in Joliet, IL.

The game's concept was conceived by elements from both CPX Sports and Smart Parts in an effort to bring Paintball's Living Legends together for a weekend of fun and festivities. The game will also provide amateur and recreational players with a once in a lifetime opportunity to play alongside the pioneers of paintball and the young rock stars of today's game. Game-play is being created by the Godfather of Scenario Paintball and Living Legend, Wayne Dollack. Another Living Legend, Kerry "Viper" Rosenberry, will be handling the codebooks for the commanders, the mission outline, calling of the missions to the bases, and keeping score for the 2-day event. The game will pit DXS/DraXxuS Senior Vice President and industry heavyweight, Craig Miller, as General, versus Sean Scott of Smart Parts/Smart Corps fame as the opposing General. Free basic rental equipment will be made available to paid, pre-registered players as part of the “Bring a 1st Timer” promotion courtesy of Tippmann and CPX Sports while supplies last.

"We had been discussing doing an event at CPX Sports since our visit to the field back in June, and solidified the concept of Living Legends while in Orlando at World Cup" said Sean Scott from Smart Parts. "CPX Sports itself is a legendary field and its Midwest location makes it an ideal venue for such an event," said Scott. "An event like this is long overdue," said Living Legend Craig Miller. "It's rare for those of us in the industry to get together with others who helped form the sport, let alone all be in the same place at the same time. To get together and play with all the big names from Paintball's past and present is unheard of. This really is going to be a once in a lifetime opportunity for everyone who attends the game," concluded Miller. Kerry "Viper " Rosenberry adds, "With the popularity of Scenario Paintball, there are many event promoters whose aggressive tactics have them intentionally conflicting with others. I feel that two of the nation's first Scenario directors working together on one great event sends a message that it is time for promoters to work together in the interest of the players".

WHEN: April 5-6, 2008

WHERE: CPX Sports.

HOW MUCH: $40 Pre-registration. $75 Pre-paid cases of paint.

Pre-registration includes 1 complimentary unlimited air-fill pass. Pre-registration deadline ends March 24th. Cases of paint will cost $80 on the day of the event. CPX will have free camping available beginning Friday, April 4th.
