Aftermath:
Hellions ODB 130, ODA 133 and ODA 153 travelled to Winamac, Indiana for the “Command & Conquer: Special Missions” game at Fort Knox Paintball on August 15. The Hellions fielded 7 players along with several more plus-ups. The Hellions allied with Lapu Lapu on the Global Defense Initiative (GDI) wearing Green arm bands.
Bill “Eagle” Christopher of Team Akicita commanded the GDI, while “T” of Team WOW commanded the Brotherhood of the Nod in the Red armbands. It was a hot and humid day and everyone played their hearts out. In his first time in a general’s role, Eagle did a great job and almost pulled out a win. Buckshot served as his field commander. Other notable teams on the GDI side were the Heretics, Akicita, Lapu Lapu. GDI was forced to battle against Team WOW, NWI, Chi Town, Headhunters and many others to make for a great game.
Buckshot spent quite a bit of time behind enemy lines without drawing the notice of the Red Team. The GDI completed almost all of their missions and came out ahead of the Brotherhood in that aspect of the game. Unfortunately, in the end the game was lost by failing to collect enough props; that factored in to give the Brotherhood a victory by only 37 points. It set a record for the closest final score in a game at Fort Knox. The attendance also set a field record by breaking the 300-player mark. The Hellions were named the Most Valuable Team on the Green side.
Hellions won the Most Valuable Team Award. A selection of photos from the event is available for viewing in the Gallery.
Story Line:
This game is based on the hit RTS Command & Conquer specifically the Tiberium Wars storyline. To learn more about this aspect of the game storyline visit this page:
Command & Conquer Wikipedia Page.
The story revolves around the struggle between GDI & Nod and their attempts to control Tiberium and shape the future of the world. Both teams will be given a number of missions to complete and score points. Teams will also have to harvest Tiberium to earn points and valuable upgrades.
GDI - Global Defense Initiative: Green
A globalized and multinational military task force, colloquially known and referred to as GDI, the Global Defense Initiative originated from a secret military alliance between the most industrialized and advanced countries under the United Nations umbrella. Sanctioned to become the international community's collective response to the proliferation of the Tiberium substance and the influence of the Brotherhood of Nod society, the Global Defense Initiative was rendered the executive branch of the United Nations Security Council.
Nod - The Brotherhood of Nod: Red
An ancient and secret society that allegedly predates most of civilization's recorded history, the Brotherhood of Nod began to represent a globalized as well as a highly militant cult. Showing the combined characteristics of a vast religious movement, a multi-national corporation and a decentralized nation-state, while being none of the three in itself. The society consistently is shown to be led by a mysterious, charismatic character who is known only as "Kane".
Resources & Special Items:
Tiberium- A mysterious crystalline material that was discovered on the planet in 1995. The poisonous mineral has been valued greatly for as long as it has existed on Earth, and has been used by both the Brotherhood of Nod and the Global Defense Initiative as a form of currency. Tiberium will have to be harvested by both teams to score points and earn upgrades.

Special Notes:
Special Roles: (Once appointed a special role players will hold that position for the rest of the game.)
Medics (1 per side) White arm band on each arm - In order to be a medic you must be taped with a white arm band tape and carry a medic supply card. Head shots, barrel tags, grenade & explosives are instant kills and are not able to be saved by medics. Medics must reach the player within one minute, wipe the paint from the player and write down the player's ID badge number on their Supply Card. At this point, the player is again a live player and can resume play.
Ore Harvester (1 per side) Yellow arm band on each arm - These are the only players allowed to touch or transport Tiberium. Harvesters search the field for ore and return it to their IP. Harvesters are issued a pack and a pair of gloves to transport ore. When eliminated a harvester must leave behind their pack and return to their insertion points. Once they are back in the game they may retrieve their packs and continue harvesting. Only harvesters can handle packs, gather and steal ore.
Harvesters can be armed.
Non-Player Characters:
Hostages (Pink Armbands) - Civilians that often require rescue.
Scientists (Blue Armbands) - Scientists need to be protected, captured or assassinated. Depends on which side your on. Scientists sometimes carry valuable info on weapons & Tiberium locations.
Visceroids: (Orange Shirts) - The Visceroid is formed when a hapless living organism (typically a human or other animal) is overcome by Tiberium fumes and radiation and uncontrolled mutation of its body occurs. The adult form is extremely hostile, aggressive and dangerous, attacking anything it perceives as a threat relentlessly. The best strategy is to retreat and wait for the Visceroid to leave the area. Shooting a Visceroid will only make them angry and increase the likelihood of an entire squad being eliminated
