A contingent of Hellions from ODB 130, ODA 133 and ODA 153 once again descended on the "Training Day" scenario to support their comrade Scott "Kraut" Simon who reprised his role as Commander of the Navy SEALs at Fox Paintball in Millington, IL. Kraut was determined to avenge his loss from last year in the event that was called early due to monsoon rains. Company Executive Officer Kevin "Buckshot" Buchaniec fielded the "Grindhouse" with even more upgrades including a new turret feed systemt. The Grindhouse, with the help of serveral other SEAL tanks kept the Rangers on the defensive. Dora did a commendable job as medic and Hollywood's performance earned him the description 'scenario rock star'.
Bottom Line: Last year the SEALs went all out recruiting a number of great teams only to have quite a few stripped away by the field to 'even things up'. This year, Kraut was naturally less motivated to get out and recruit. The game grew even more complex than previous events. Unfortunately, it appeared many referees were not fully informed about the game play. Players on both sides expressed a lot of extra frustration over many refs replying that they were "only there for saftety". At least one tank did not have a functioning kill box or referee. The combination of poor weather-related field conditions and game mechanics (namely unmotivated referees) really did the game in for the Hellions.
Hellions in attendance were: Buckshot, D-Mac, Honu, Kraut, Scavenger, Sky, Splathappy, and Wash. Plus-ups included Domi, Dora, Hollywood, and OZ.
Of course, with Grendel being AWOL no one bothered to take any team photos. There are a limited number of photos from the event on the team's Facebook page.

This game is an OPTIONAL ROAD TRIP for the Hellions SFG. Availalbe members of ODB 130, ODA 133, ODA 153 and ODA 163 will attend; however, the distance involved will likely reduce the size of the force the team will be able to field.
